Monadnock
Humane Society is a
full-service humane society serving
a population
of 90,000 in southwest New Hampshire.
The
MHS Mission is to instill through example an ethic of respect,
compassion, and empathy for all creatures, and to inspire, empower,
and lead the community to be successful and responsible for
creating a more humane society for all.

Directions
to the MHS from southeast (Boston): Take Route 128 North to
2 West. In Gardner, MA, pick up Route 140 North to 12 North.
Follow 12 North to the traffic light in Keene, NH. Turn Left onto Route 101 West. Continue on Route 101 West until the traffic circle. Take 3rd exit off of circle to Route 10 South. MHS is about a mile down Route 10S on the right.
From
southwest (Springfield, MA): Take Route 91 North to Exit 28A
(Northfield). Turn right off the exit. At the "T" turn left onto
Route 10 North. Follow Route 10N through Northfield, MA and into Winchester and then West Swanzey, NH. MHS will be on your left about 1/2 mile past The Cheshire Horse and gas station.
From
the east (NH): Follow Route 101 West, through the Route 12 instersection, to the traffic circle in Keene. Take 3rd exit off of circle to Route 10 South. MHS is about a mile down Route 10S on the right.
The
Monadnock Humane Society is open from Noon – 6 p.m. Tuesday
through Saturday. We are closed most major holidays. Please
give us a call at 352-9011 Ext. 0 if you have any questions
about our hours.

Adoption & Learning Center! A happy and cheerful place with no metal bars, no cold cement
floors, no more being alone.
Just
one mile south of Keene on Route 10, the Adoption & Learning
Center totals 74 acres providing plenty of space for the Center
itself, ample parking, and lots
of outdoor space for training classes, agility, walking trails,
and wide open spaces for people and their dogs (or shelter
dogs) to enjoy!
